This is one true story of a friend’s friend who  was ”not the brightest” but did managed to beat a clear dui. In one of his “not the brightest” moments, he was driving down the highway completely drunk. His drunken driving soon attracted the police which flashed their lights and pulled him over. His next move was an act of pure genius. After he pulled over in fright, he took his keys,threw them out of the window, and then reached around to his back seat where he grabbed a micky of gin and began drinking. The police came up to administer the dui only to find a guy guzzling a bottle of gin stopping long enough only to give them a sly victory grin. The police soon realized that this drunkard had actually beat the system. There he sat, without possession of his vehicle (his keys were not in his control) now becoming blatantly intoxicated. There was now no way for them to prove that we was drunk when he was driving as any dui test would just show the alcohol on his breath from his legal drinking after he stopped his vehicle. The police were quite unhappy and roughed him up a bit, but his drunken genious did avoid that dui.
