Castor Oil Face Packs To Treat Acne

Despite being an oil, castor oil is beneficial in treating acne. By rubbing castor oil on the affected areas, the skin that is hardened with impurities on the pores gets dissolved. On steaming the face, these pores get opened, with which the oil can be removed easily.

You get best effects from castor oil pack by using a hot oil pack. On using a castor oil pack, you experience psychological effects of the oil that includes the stimulation of the liver, relief from pain, increased eliminations, improved gastrointestinal function, increased lymphatic circulation, increased relaxation and reduced inflammation.
To make a castor oil pack, you need three layers of natural and uncolored wool or flannel cotton that is large enough to cover your problem area.
And of course, castor oil, a plastic wrap large enough to cover the cloth and a hot water bottle or electric blanket.
The cotton has to first be soaked with castor oil till it is saturated, but not dripping. The pack has to be placed on the area to be treated and then covered with the plastic wrap. Once this is done, a hot water bottle has to be placed on the pack.
The castor oil pack has to be left on your face for 30 – 60 minutes. You get the best results with castor oil pack by using the castor oil pack about 3 to 7 days a week.
It is possible to use the same pack for weeks and months. However if required, you can refresh the pack with additional oil if necessary.
